Hey guys!,
You've guessed it! Prelims have finally ended and therefore i'm gonna take these 4 days to chillax. which means a combination of both chill and relax. To kickstart the week of chilling+relaxing i met up with char today to go and attend the Japanese summer festival also known as natsu natsuri. haha. Well, it was pretty average actually but it was an eyeopener to ALOT of new things. IF you guys wanna see any photos do check out my facebook album okay? 'cos i'm kinda lazy to upload these photos on blogger. Hahaha.
So basically i was at the expo waiting for char at around 3.30pm. but she was a little late so i met her abit later during that period of time i was merely observing my surroundings and realized that people dress kinda weirdly.. It seems like people in changi dress differently from people in Orchard. so people stared at me and i stared at people too. I was wearing jeans and a hooded top from Cecil Mcbee( a brand frm Japan) and shoes. Nothing too fanciful. What i saw on the otherhand were people with long socks, dangling stuff from their skirts and fluffy shirts. I was like.. -__-. Hmm. It only braced me further for what was abt to come.
So i met char and char's father gave us a lift to the Japanese school that was around 5 mins away. So basically it was raining and there was a FREAKING LOONG QUEUE. We reached the school at lets say around 4 plus? There was ALOT of people.. And people were dressed very weirdly. ALot of Singaporeans were wearing Yukata's and they were mostly acting cute and their dressing was very strange. There was even this girl with such a short skirt that if she bent over her panties would DEFINETLY be exposed.. So Char and I stood to the side to avoid mingling with those people and furthermore i think they didn't have tickets but char and I already have tickets. We stood near this group of Japanese parents and just started chatting. Soon these 3 girls got out of this taxi and stood around that area too. One who was quite pretty asked her friends whether we were japanese and i found it relatively hilarious.
Around 5pm we finally got let into the school but we had to queue again!! This time in front of me were 2 guys who were dressed in Yukata and they had plucked eyebrows.. At first i thought they were Japanese 'cos one of them looked japanese and he looked like Hiroyuki Tomita from the Japanese gymnastics team.. But we realized they were Singaporeans and this girl soon came to join them and she looked Japanese too but Singaporean as well. haha.. these 3 people could've fooled me.. But around me and char were ALOT of people that were definetly trying too hard. There was this girl behind me and char that wore a SUPER short Yukata!! i was like.. er.. and the Yukata colors were very wrong and everything and her makeup was like hmm.. But the strange thing was her boyfriend was really quite gdlooking.. Both of us couldn't help thinking where we went wrong.
2 embarassing things happened to me during the course of this period though. Firstly, because it was raining i was holding an Umbrella. WHen they opened the gate, I made my way in and actually the Umbrella couldn't fit inside the hole of entering the gate but i pushed it in and it hit 2 guy's head. One was like 'ouch.. wa lau..' and the other guy was like ' omg, so painful!" but i just allowed my Umbrella to push its way in and those poor guys had to endure the spikes of my Umbrella. And then in the place we were actually allowed to go in but then we were told to wait for a while. So i moved back and stepped on this guy's foot. He still managed to smile at me but i think he moved after that. LOL and his smile was like a killer smile. BLAH.
So anyway during the thing it was rather normal there was ALOT OF PEOPLE. And char and I were just pushing ourselves through. I managed to play this game and win a pink balloon yoyo. Kinda cute. Scooped up some toys and ate some food. Finally we went to fortune tellig for fun. So it was just the usual type of fortune telling but something interesting was that she told me i shld go into a job that conists of metal and water. She also told me that i'll peak in my job between 30-33 years old and that i MUST marry before 28 if not NOBODY wld want me.. haha i was like err okaay.. Either than that there wasn't anything much. haha. Ohh and she told me that i MUST study to succeed so i can't slack. =(.
So after that we left and i waited for my parents at newton so char and I camwhored. It was ALOT of fun. haha at first it was just normal camwhoring but soon we started adding taglines to the photo. Like you must pose a photo that shows ' class clown'. That kinda thing. haha check out facebook for all the whacky photos yea? This day has been gd :D
